A new beginning.

I’ve always wanted to start up a blog on baking and cooking, but mostly on desserts. So, here am I giving my first post to taking the challenge in Aspiring Bakers.

This month’s challenge is Traditional Kuih. Just so coincidently, i’ve always wanted to make Kuih Seri Muka with this wonderful recipe i’ve found. This is my first attempt in making Kuih. Judging from the photos, it may not look good, but it sure tasted wonderful. However, I’ll try other recipes out there when i’ve got the time.

Some parts of the cusard layer swelled up during steaming. Not very pretty looking, isn’t it?

Look at the big air hole in the custard layer! :X

Recipe adapted from Lily’s Wai.

So, I am submitting this post to Aspiring Bakers #12: Traditional Kueh (October 2011) hosted by SSB of Small Small Baker.
